Another update:
I think 14,000 allogeneic transplants was the 2008 number. By the end of 2009, the number is 20,000.

Correction:
The total number of autologous treatments (not necessarily “transplants”) with cord blood to date worldwide is over 200. I maintain the only database of them, at this link:
