I highly recommend you to watch this video-interview with Sean Morrison.
He connected aging, stem cell self-renewal and cancer in one regulatory network and propose potential targets which will allow us to play withing the system - increase tissues regenerative capacity in aged body or precisely kill cancer stem cells.
